Raven 2 PVP Guide: Combat Records & Karma System

Understanding PVP rules, your combat history, and the Karma system is essential for surviving and thriving in Raven 2. Whether you choose to buy Raven 2 Crystal for revenge tracking or earn them through gameplay, knowing how to spend them wisely—such as teleporting to a player who defeated you—can give you a crucial edge. This guide covers area PVP checks, combat records, taunts, revenge tracking, and the consequences of going Cruel.

1. Checking if PVP Is Allowed

Before engaging in combat, always check the current area's PVP status.

How to check: Tap (or click) the icon in the top-left corner of the map.

If PVP is allowed, the icon will indicate so. If not, combat with other players may be restricted.

2. Combat Records

Your PVP history is stored and accessible.

Access: [Menu (☰) > Combat Records]

After a PVP Victory

You can spend Gold to send a taunt message to the defeated player.

You cannot taunt if you only assisted (did not land the final blow).

After a PVP Defeat

You can spend Crystals to teleport near the player who defeated you.

Tracking attempts: Up to 3 times per death record.

Crystals are consumed for each tracking attempt.

Tracking is unavailable if: The target is offline or in a restricted area.

Record Reset

Once the combat record reset time passes, all previous combat records are deleted.

3. Karma System Overview

The Karma system prevents excessive or reckless PVP.

Access: Tap the [Karma] icon in the top-left of the game screen.

Karma stages (from best to worst):

Good-Natured – Positive Karma score

Common – Neutral range

Cruel – Karma score below -20,000

4. Cruel Tier (Karma below -20,000)

Entering the Cruel tier has severe consequences.

Notifications & Alerts

A global notification is sent to all users when you enter the Cruel tier.

Nearby players receive an alert when you enter an area.

Visual Indicator

Your nickname turns purple while in combat.

Other players do not lose Karma for killing you.

Debuffs: Curse of the Cruel

Based on your Cruel tier level, you receive stacking penalties called "Curse of the Cruel."

Town Guards

Town guards attack you on sight.

Enter towns with extreme caution.

EXP Recovery Restriction

You cannot use Prayer of Regeneration when recovering lost EXP.

Equipment Loss on Death

Depending on your Cruel tier, some equipped items may be lost upon death.

Lost equipment can be checked and recovered in the Inventory.

Critical: Cruel players cannot recover lost equipment.

5. How to Change Your Karma Score

Increase Karma Score (Move toward Good-Natured)

Kill monsters – grants Karma points.

Exception: Monsters whose level is significantly lower than yours (shown with a gray name) do NOT restore Karma.

Decrease Karma Score (Move toward Cruel)

Kill non-Cruel players – reduces your Karma score.

Lifting Cruel Status

To exit the Cruel tier, you must raise your Karma score above -20,000 by killing appropriately-leveled monsters.

6. Summary of Karma Effects

Killing normal-level monsters increases your Karma.

Killing gray-name (too low) monsters has no effect on Karma.

Killing non-Cruel players decreases your Karma.

Being killed as a Cruel player causes other players to lose no Karma.

Global notification: All users are informed when you become Cruel.

Area alert: Nearby players are warned when you enter an area.

Purple nickname: Visible during combat.
