For Attack, Strength, Defence, Ranged, and Magic, the best AFK method is fighting the Gemstone Crab in Varlamore. After unlocking the area through Children of the Sun, you can attack the crab with your preferred combat style and enjoy up to 10 minutes of AFK combat at a time.

Once the crab burrows away, simply follow it through the cave and continue the cycle. It’s incredibly low effort and remains one of the best AFK combat methods in the entire game.

Prayer – Gilded Altars and Bone Shards

Prayer now has multiple AFK-friendly options.

The classic method remains using dragon bones at a gilded altar in World 330 houses. By setting up menu entry swaps in RuneLite, you can process full inventories with minimal clicking while watching videos or multitasking.

For players with access to Varlamore, the Libation Bowl method at the Tiamat is even more AFK. You first convert bones into blessed bone shards and then sacrifice them automatically while your Prayer drains over time. Higher Prayer levels increase AFK duration significantly.

At level 50 Thieving, distracted citizens can be pickpocketed automatically for up to 90 seconds with almost no input required. Wearing the full Rogue Outfit doubles profits, making this a fantastic semi-passive money maker as well.

Crafting – Glassblowing and Gem Cutting

Glassblowing remains one of the best AFK Crafting methods. With molten glass and a glassblowing pipe, you can process inventories for around 50 seconds at a time.

Ironmen especially benefit from this method thanks to Giant Seaweed farming and sandstone mining.

Gem cutting offers better XP rates but slightly less AFK time.

Fletching – Bow Cutting and Stringing

Cutting unstrung bows is still the easiest AFK Fletching method. Processing a full inventory takes nearly a minute with minimal interaction.

Time by keeping monsters aggressive for several minutes.

Hunter – Birdhouse Runs and Herbiboar

Hunter is one of the easiest passive skills in OSRS.
