Diablo 4 players want to change waypoints

Diablo 4 players are baffled by Blizzard's decision to allow players to reopen waypoints and request changes. The community that expressed dismay at the Diablo 4 season 1 update is now calling for changes because it doesn't make sense to players.

Waypoints in Diablo IV Gold allow players to quickly travel to different locations on the map. When starting the game for the first time, the player needs to explore the entire map in order to unlock locations, which also shows waypoints to activate. While many of them can be found as you explore the world, some of them are also locked in fortresses in Diablo 4 and won't appear until the player conquers the area. This event allows players to unlock several main quests, but most quests still require manual unlocking. However, when Season 1 began, most waypoints were locked again, even though players had previously unlocked them, which the community didn't like.

In a post on the Diablo 4 subreddit, user Potionmine wrote that he doesn't understand why players have to flip the map every few months to unlock the waypoints they've activated. He questioned the thought process behind Blizzard's decision and asked if it makes sense for players to replay the campaign every few months. While most players seem to agree with them, they are equally baffled by the changes.

In addition to unlocking waypoints, players must recapture all of the forts to earn reputation points in Diablo 4, which unlock skill points and experience rewards. Luckily, players who previously cleared the garrison do not need to replay this mission to gain access to the area's dungeons. However, players still don't understand why Blizzard did this and demand that it turn into something that actually makes sense and is worth more than just awarding reputation points.

This wasn't the only issue players had with Season of the Villain, as much of the community was frustrated that all Diablo 4 characters were rendered useless. Reduced XP buff, monster health scaling and difficulty increase, and hidden limits to the player's existing skills are just some of the reasons Diablo 4 is getting rave reviews again. So Blizzard had to hold an emergency fireside chat to reassure fans that they would take the feedback seriously and make changes in the near future.
